Pregnancy Vlog: Week 20
AWC > Pregnancy > Pregnancy Vlog: Week 20
I am officially past the half way point in this pregnancy!!! WOW, I just totally can't believe that I have made it this far and that this is really happening! Thinking back to the 28 months before this cycle just makes me even more grateful and emotional.
Genetic Counselor/ Anatomy Scan
AWC > Pregnancy > Genetic Counselor / Anatomy Scan
Since our AFP Tetra Screening came back abnormal, Our appointment for the anatomy scan and genetic counselor was bumped up a week.
Needless to say, we were both really nervous with what they would see or what they would suggest. We had already excluded amniocentesis as an option. Like I stated in the last post, as a personal decision based on our past, we didn't want to do anything that could risk a miscarriage no matter how low risk the procedure was.

AFT Screening Results
AWC > Pregnancy > AFT Screen Results
At our latest midwife appointment the midwife and I spoke about all my "issues" (PCOS, MTHFR, gestational diabetes, a past pregnancy testing positive for Trisomy 16). She asked if I would like to have a blood test done called the AFP Tetra Screen.

Pregnancy Vlog- Home Doppler Fun/Finding Baby's Heartbeat
AWC > Pregnancy > Home Doppler Fun / Finding Baby's Heartbeat
Like most ladies who have suffered from loss, I have been pretty anxious about what is going on beneath all my "layers". Is baby still growing? Is the heartbeat still beating a way like we saw on the ultrasound?
As much as I am trying to be positive about things, I can't seem to turn off that switch in my mind that makes me question everything I feel. I have heard/seen other ladies on YouTube buying home dopplers to hear baby's heartbeat between appointments.

This week has been one of the most stressful since I got my BFP. This wasn't because of the pregnancy itself, but due to some travel plans gone array. Thankfully, things got worked out and I was able to make it to Savannah, GA for my friends' wedding.

Sort of Like What Momma Makes with Army Wife Mickey
AWC > Mickey > Sort of Like What Momma Makes w/Army Wife Mickey
Everyone has their own "remedy" for when they start to feel ill. Growing up back home in Texas, I remember my mom and grandma making us Caldo when we got sick. Caldo is a traditional Latin-American soup that has a meat base and veggies. Now you're probably wondering "ok doesn't sound like anything special". What makes this soup different is it is a much heartier dish than most other soups. |

Hello everyone! I am super excited I was asked to contribute to the Army Wives Club on my Trying to Conceive journey!!

We have been through a few PCS’ both accompanied and
unaccompanied: Ft Sill, OK(accompanied), Ft. Bliss (unaccompanied), Ft. Carson
(unaccompanied), Hunter Army Airfield (accompanied), and Ft. Lee
(accompanied). DH is stationed at Ft. Lee, VA. I am an avid music nerd and am currently in
the process of getting my teaching certification transferred over to Virginia

substitute teaching in a nearby county to try to get some networking in and to
get out of the house.
