Our last post had a great upper body weight training workout that you could follow for 4 weeks to improve your muscular strength and endurance and to get toned arms. Since the 4 week program has 3 other workouts, I thought I'd give them to you all at once here. You can implement it all at once like I did or you can use any of the workouts to enhance what you already have going in your fitness regimen.

On more than one occasion I've set crazy fitness and weight loss goals. I've promised myself I'd spend ridiculous amounts of time in the gym in the hopes of speeding up my results. Now don't get me wrong, in general it is true that the more you exercise, the quicker you'll see changes in the body. However, going to hard too fast is a recipe for burn out and exercise injury.

Yes there are more hurdles to overcome,but this is a big step. We continue to send prayers & positive thoughts to the family.

Week 9 was a pretty rough week! I'm not talking symptom-wise, but physically. The first two days of this week were spent in Savannah for my friends' wedding. Thankfully everything came out well and they are so very happy! Those two days, I was cramping quite a bit. Being a wife, and for many of us a mother as well, comes with many responsibilities that eat up our time and energy. We all know that having spouses in the military takes wife and mother to a whole new level. Many of us take on the role of mother and father as our hubbys are off traveling, training and serving over seas. Quite frankly, we lead lives that are a recipe for increased stress and decreased motivation for fitness and thoughtful nutrition.

Army Wife for almost a year. My husband is in the Reserves. I have to say this past year has been a
rollercoaster for me! DH and I got married June 16, 2012. We started dating our
senior year of high school and have been together for 5 years now.
I’m 22 years young and am the ultimate girly-girl! I love
all things pink, I’m obsessed with makeup, and I can’t stop shopping to save my

Like most women, my mind is almost always racing. I can go from thinking about war to why
my dogs smell so bad to what’s for dinner to what the heck my neighbor is doing
in about 0.9 seconds flat. It
should make for some interesting blog posts and I am super excited that I’ve
been asked to contribute here at AWC!
With that said though, there are probably some key things you should
know about me.

The first, obviously or I wouldn’t be here, is that I’m an
Army wife. I met my husband back
in 1999 and we’ve been married since 2001. Many Army wives stumble their way into the life, but I knew
exactly what I was getting into.
My dad retired as a SGM when I was 13 so I pretty much knew what it was
all about from the beginning.
