TTC - It's Time for a Break
Our last double IUI attempt was unsuccessful. We also discovered during this attempt that my husband's sperm counts have dropped after his injury in August, where my husband separated his pelvis on a jump.
Click here to read more about his injury.
Prior to his injury his numbers were at 33.5 mil. Now they are 1.5 mil. This is down from 3 mil at our last IUI. We've decided to freeze a sample and proceed to IVF next year. There are two reasons for waiting until next year. One is to save money for IVF. The other is to take a break.
TTC - Saline Sonogram, Polyp Update, & Pitting Edema OH MY!
AWC > TTC > Saline Sonogram, Polyp Update, & Pitting Edema
I had my Saline Sonogram the other day. I'm so glad I took a Tramadol prior because it was very painful for me. It felt like a horrible stomach cramp. It wasn't as intense as the HSG, but I think that's because of the pain medicine I took.
Last time I updated you about our TTC efforts, I mentioned us having to post pone due to a polyp being seen during our IUI Transvagnial Ultrasounds. After the Saline Sonogram, preliminary reports show no polyp. YEAH! YEAH! YEAH!

TTC - IUI & the Two Week Wait

IUI
December 3rd was IUI day. After 10 days of hormone shots, we headed off to Carolina IVF Labs. Phil provided the the soldiers and they picked the best of the bunch and put them in a vial. I'll let you in on a little secret that only those that have been through IUI know. There's a special way you transport the 'soldiers'. It's right between your breasts. I had a pic, but I wimped out on posting it. I drove from Carolina IVF Labs to Womack carrying our potential future children.

TTC - Let the Injectables Begin!
AWC > TTC > Let the Injectables Begin!
Started Injections of Follitropin on Tuesday, November 20th. I finally met Natalie. She is one of Dr. Parker's Nurses. Her and Dori are fabulous. Great to finally put a face with the voice.
I've done 4 days of shots. So far only thing I've noticed is I go from feeling hot to cold quite frequently. I have taken to turning my heated seats on in the car with the air conditioning running.

TTC - RE Docs Secretly Vampires??? Blood Draw & Results
In August I went to get a million vials of blood drawn for my infertility testing. I started wondering if my RE Doc was a Vampire. Ok a million is exaggerating. It was only 10.

Infertility Program Orientation at Womack
Tuesday, July 24th, we went to the Orientation for the Infertility Program at Womack. Phil & I arrived early and sat upfront. I was surprised how many couples were there. I definately do not feel alone.

Jenn Intro: Army Wife, 2nd Wife,Stepmom, TTC, Blogger
Army Wife, 2nd Wife,Stepmom, TTC Wife, Blogger. Those are just a few of the things I might talk about.
Army Wife
I became an Army Wife February 2, 2008 at the age of 34. I was a single yuppie. I worked at Verizon Wireless 10 years. I had already bought my own home, car, and thought I would be single forever. I had no urge to settle down. I thought I would always adopt or foster a child one day. My course in life changed when I met my husband. I met him online. I thought he would be a booty call and nothing serious. Maybe that's how we fell in love. We were both so open. No lies and nothing to lose.
