Our last double IUI attempt was unsuccessful. We also discovered during this attempt that my husband's sperm counts have dropped after his injury in August, where my husband separated his pelvis on a jump.
Click here to read more about his injury.
Prior to his injury his numbers were at 33.5 mil. Now they are 1.5 mil. This is down from 3 mil at our last IUI. We've decided to freeze a sample and proceed to IVF next year. There are two reasons for waiting until next year. One is to save money for IVF. The other is to take a break.
After doing two rounds of hormones and waiting in suspense, ya know the 2 Week Wait, I long for normal life. Remember the time when you had sex for the fun and not because the egg was dropping? It's time to get back to that. I'm looking forward to using my calendar to plan family vacations like going on rollercoasters at Six Flags Great America in Gurnee Illinois this summer with the stepkiddos.
We may try another IUI in September if his numbers rebound.
Thanks to all of you that have been following and showing your support. This journey is not over, it's on pause for us.
Do not worry though, we will still have TTC content on our site. Let me introduce Mickey. I met Mickey during our journey. I'm loyal follower of her vlogs. I asked if she would guest blog on our site about her TTC journey. I am so happy she is bloggin' with us. I hope to watch it change into a pregnancy journey ;)

Big hugs sweetie! Glad to hear you aren't giving up yet & just taking a much-needed (& well-deserved) pause for now... Will pray for his numbers to rebound! Lots of positive thoughts headed your way!
