I bet if I took a poll, most Democrats and Republicans would agree upon the below suggested law.
- Military pay does not get interrupted, "EVER."
- Congress does not get paid when the government is, "SHUTDOWN".
I think sometimes we focus on on differences more than our similarities. Personally I'm sick and tired of the regular threats to military pay.
I'm also tired of the righteous people saying, "You should save for a rainy day." A rainy day? Really? My husband would be forced to work for free? How many civilians have to prepare for that kind of rainy day? Every time this debate of military pay comes up there is always a 'Perfect' person judging how we didn't financially plan. Leave judgement to god and be thankful you've made zero mistakes in your financial life. Let's remember those of us that live month to month are doing something the government has not been successful at, and that's paying our bills every month.
President Obama & Congress get off your rumps and pass a bill so that military pay doesn't have to be involved in your squabbles.
